Soft brick is the state of android device which occur due to some software problems like boot loops or phone freezing at some point during boot. This only occurs if some software problem occurred in the device mainly during OS upgrade or ROM flashing.

If your device is in such state then you are luck there are 99% chances that you can recover your beloved device without needing any professional help or spending hundred of dollars. 

Hard Brick

Hard brick is the state of android device that occurs when your device won’t boot at all i.e. no boot loop,no recovery and also not charging. This occurs due to trying to flashed firmwere not made for your device or flashed incorrectly. This is more difficult to resolve and often require professional help.

1)  How to unbrick any Mediatek (MTK) Smartphone using SP Flash Tool

Summary: This post is about how to recover the MTK Android phone, if it has gone Dead.

Tools & Software Required:

1. SP Flash tool
2. Android Stock ROM 
3. MTK USB Driver (Steps to installation)
4. PC or Laptop
5. Dead MTK Phone
6. USB cable
7. Manually install VCOM drivers on the PC 

Note: Do not flash firmware which are not meant for your device ,or else your phone will be completely dead . Even SP Flash tool will not detect your phone. So Check carefully the name of zip file.

How to Install VCOM Drivers for SP Flash Tool:

1. Open Device manager from My computer. Click on any item & Goto Actions > Add legacy hadware.
2. Now, Press next & select Install drivers manually.
3. Press next & click on Have disk.
4. From the browse option, select the VCOM drivers as per your OS.
5. Once its done. You will see a screen similar to this:

How to unbrick Mediatek MTK device – SP Flash Tool:

Step 1:  First  Download  Official “Stock ROM / Firmware” From your Official site.

Step 2: Install the download file.

Step 3: Now Power Off your device & remove the battery only if it’s removable.

Step 4: Extract “ ‘***”.zip i.e Stock ROM  (** Indicates the file name)

Step 5: Run Flash_Tool.exe from the SP Flash Tool folder

Unbrick Any mediatek device.

You will see something like this .

Step 6: Select DA Please make sure the Download Agent has been assigned..

Step 7: Select scatter file. Please make sure you select the correct scatter file that you found in the ROM zip. Select DOWNLOAD ONLY.

Step 8:   Once you have selected everything, Click on the download button at the top. Connect your phone with the battery in it.

Click on Download
